What is a post decree dispute and why do they happen?
A post-decree dispute is a legal conflict that arises after a divorce has been finalized and the court has entered the final divorce decree. These disputes can occur for many reasons, including vague language in the original agreement, noncompliance by one party, or life changes—such as job loss, relocation, or changing needs of children—that make the original terms no longer workable.
