What’s the difference between using a CDFA and just asking my financial advisor for help?
A CDFA (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst) has specialized training in divorce-related financial issues, such as dividing marital assets, understanding the long-term impact of settlements, and projecting post-divorce cash flow. Most general financial advisors are not trained to analyze divorce-specific tax, support, or equity distribution scenarios.
